Over the past 12 months, Duende has deployed more than $125 million across AI, defense, space, robotics, fintech and industrial technology. We invest from our balance sheet into select companies and venture funds, and invest alongside a global network of family offices, founders, executives and institutional capital partners through purpose-built vehicles.

The Opportunity

This role will own Duende's investor relationships and capital strategy. You will build and manage relationships with family offices, registered investment advisors, high-net-worth individuals and institutional allocators; translate the firm's investment pipeline into thoughtful investor engagement; and help shape future investment products and long-term capital partnerships.

You will work in lockstep with the investing, operations and legal teams to build a repeatable, institutional-quality investor relations and capital formation function that scales with the firm.

What You'll Do

• Build and manage a high-quality network of family offices, RIAs, HNW individuals and institutional allocators, with a clear view of mandate, check size, sector interests and timing
• Coordinate investor engagement and capital formation processes around approved opportunities in partnership with the investment team, outside counsel and operations
• Own investor-facing materials, data rooms and allocator diligence, translating complex private-market opportunities into clear, institutional-quality communication
• Represent Duende at investor and industry events and help build the firm's reputation as a credible, repeat private-markets partner
• Own the relationship cadence with existing capital partners, including portfolio updates, reporting coordination and ongoing investor coverage
• Build the CRM, segmentation and operating cadence that keeps investor demand aligned with the deal pipeline and closing timelines

What You Bring

• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with family offices, RIAs, HNW investors or institutional allocators; backgrounds in fund IR, private banking, wealth management, placement, family offices or alternatives are all relevant
• An existing, active network of sophisticated investors with an appetite for venture, growth and private-market exposure
• Strong working knowledge of venture and private-market mechanics, subscription processes and fund/SPV structures
• Excellent written and verbal communicator who can earn credibility with sophisticated investors and run a senior-level room
• Comfortable in a lean, entrepreneurial team where you are building the investor-relations playbook, not simply following one

Nice to Have

• Existing relationships with LatAm or cross-border family offices

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $225,000–$275,000 commensurate with experience and responsibilities
• Variable: Performance bonuses plus carry/points participation in Duende-managed investment vehicles
